[ getting there made for a decent midnight jog but she's there as fast as she can leisurely make it. there are some odd scratching sounds on the handle before it turns and she lets herself in.

Yin shows up in her usual getup save for trading her jeans for shorts, boots for sneakers, and with a windbreaker draped over her shoulders just in case. the thin fabric seemed to cover her right side more than the left. ]

Pipsqueak! You passed out, yet? [ loud as she is, there is more concern than humor in her tone this time. she does NOT want to be in the papers if the heiress binges out and hurts herself. ]

[The heiress gives a drunken groan from the couch, clutching a pillow tight to her chest. She's dressed down considerably to sleep, wearing only a pair of white boy shorts and a red t-shirt about two sizes too big for her.]

You didn't have to come all the way here. I would have found a way to manage.

[Except the empty bottle of wine on the table shows that she really wouldn't have.]

Uhhhyeah. I can see that. [ being worried does not stop her from being sarcastic. figures that if Vera's mad at her she won't focus on the other shit bothering her. ]

And excuse you? I did have to come all this way. I was "beckoned". [ single hand air-quotes are go, though there is some movement under her jacket. ] Sheesh. Wine? You're gonna be sick as a dog tomorrow.

[Vera lets out a long sigh. God, why did she ask her here again?]

I don't care... I was going to spend all day in bed tomorrow anyway. I might as well feel better about things now.

[ after picking up and inspecting the bottle, she puts it back down. ] And I bet you feel just terrific, don't you?

[ Yin stood at the edge of the couch staring down at Vera. ] At least you didn't get high on your own. [ ... ] Or did you?

I don't like getting high alone...

[She squirms against the back of the couch until she's sitting up, still clutching the pillow.]

[ Yin opens her mouth to quip something else but stops herself. seeing Vera like this is pretty pathetic, all things considered. ]

When's the last time you had some water?

I dunno. I'm not thirsty anymore.

Trust me, that'll change real soon.

[ Yin makes her way to the kitchen, draping her jacket over the back of the couch on the way past it. hopefully Vera's kitchen is easy to dig through for a glass. spoilers: she's going for tap water. ]
